Music: collection of the most well known milongas and valses by the orchestra of Pichuco
Dancing properties: moodfull valses, very fluent and enjoyable. Milongas that put up your mood, not too fast, not too slow.
Sound: a little "vintage", not the best - lack of bass.
Comment: as an alternative during your work as DJ, so you have a tanda full of joy of life and contrast to the melancholic mood of tango in general.

Most of these recordings by Pichuco (Anibal Troilo) are from the early 1940s but the sound is still very adequate. Very musical and subtle performances. Good to have on one CD an ample selection of milongas and valsas. Most enjoyable for the musicality.

Most of these selections are fast, light, airy and festive. I liked the rhythm. The valses seemed to ebb an flow nicely. Overall a good selection of music.

Overall, this is a good cd for expanding your collection of milongas and valses. Good selections for rounding out a tanda of music. Maybe not so good just for strait listening. Recordings are a little grainy. Some of the musical phrases seem repetitive from song to song.
