Is Your Shopping Site Secure??
TangoCD.com never actually sees your credit card numbers.
All our credit card processing is done through a third party processor (2CO.com) using a secure server with SSL (Secure Socket Layer). All credit card information is encrypted before it is sent to the server.
To see if you are in a Secure mode look at the address bar of your browser during the Checkout process.
The address should start with "https://" (meaning it is a secure server) instead of the usual "http://".
Also in your browser's status bar you should see a picture of a lock. Double click on it to verifiy the Secure Certificate.
Why is it better to use a third party processor??
It is safer to use a reputable third party processore because:
- They have very stringent fraud prevention schemes
- They guarantee the safety of your credit card information
- They have a clear dispute resolution policy in case of merchant-customer disputes.
- They will not deal with merchants who misrepresent, mislabel or mislead their merchandise or their customers.
